This world would have me believe that I am not worthy of God’s thoughts or attentions. My actions/beliefs/treatment of others makes me unworthy of Yahweh’s love, compassion, or grace. The lies fill my head at my weakest moments, when I need Him most. Fear of rejection, condemnation, anger, and punishment cause me to run..
I run because of shame. I am embarrassed to talk to God.
I run because of the truths that I hide from others. Won’t God make me tell the truth?
I run because I am afraid of being rejected by God in my weakest moments.
I run because showing my weaknesses only sets me up for pain and exploitation. Other will use me.
I run because those I love do not value me, so why should God?
I run because I did not/do not value others, so why should God value me?
I run because its easier than facing my weaknesses and my faults. God is disappointed in me.
I run because I am not really that bad, am I? Doesn’t God have more important things to do?
I run because … why should He care?
I run because, I am fine and don’t want to change.
Oh the lies that we tell ourselves — to avoid being rejected by the true lover of our souls. We need HIS acceptance, yet that desire scares us. Our soul deep craving for God’s love and acceptance is a part of who and what we are. The lies we tell ourselves are just that – LIES.
Yahweh Whispers truth to us through His word…
Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Isaiah 43:4
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to [His family] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. Ephesians 1:4-6
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Isaiah 60:1 NIV
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 43:18 NIV
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIV
KNOW WHO YOU ARE! You a Child of Yahweh, who can hear HIS Whispers through His word.
When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. Ephesians 3:14-18 NLT
Our prayer for you:
Heavenly Father, bless the heart and soul of the person reading this Whisper. Open their eyes and allow them to see themself the way You see them. Give them a heart of gratitude, humility, and compassion for their life and for your gift of grace. In Jesus’ name, amen
