Yahweh Whispers

Why is Jesus Christ the Only Way?

The goal of our spiritual enemy is to separate us from our Heavenly Father, Yahweh.  The most successful way of achieving that goal is to separate us from Christ – the only way to our Heavenly Father.

In John 14:6 , Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me”.

Why is Jesus Christ the Way to our Heavenly Father (Yahweh)?

Our Heavenly Father is a pure source of truth, light, grace, and justice.  He can not lie, he can not be unfair, He can not die or weaken, and he can not be anything other than good.  Even when He corrects His children, he does so as our protector and guide – not our punisher.  When God declared Himself to Moses, our Heavenly Father is clear on who and what He is:

‘And Yahweh passed by before [Moses], and proclaimed, I am Yahweh, Yahweh, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth; keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin’ Exodus 34:6-7

When God created humans, He did so out of love and with the intention that we would dwell with Him.  However, it was never His intention to force himself on us.  Humans always had a choice to decide if we want Our Heavenly Father in our lives.  He desires us to desire Him – to want to have a relationship with Him. He wants us to share our full lives with Him, to treat him as our confidant and best friend, to believe He always has our best interests at heart.

A relationship with our Heavenly Father is based upon faith, but it is not enough to know He exists. We must believe in His love for us in order to have a true and meaningful relationship with Him. Believing in God is not the same as knowing or having a relationship with God.  The existence and life of Christ is the ultimate display of God’s love for us.  If we do not believe in Christ, then we do not have a full understanding of how much we are loved by our Heavenly Father. We will not trust His love for us.

One of the ultimate tests of love is the willingness of one to lay down their life for another. God made the choice to dwell with us, as one of us, to show His love for us.  He did not come as the pure source of energy and light that He is, but instead chose to come as a human.  In doing so, our Heavenly Father created another part of Himself to share with us – Christ.

Christ shared His message of truth, love, and faith.  Most importantly, Christ shared who our Heavenly Father is what He wants from His children. Christ taught the message that loving one another was more important than religious law. Christ taught us that confession of our sins to our Heavenly father and genuine repentance were enough to redeem us.  He taught us to depend on our Heavenly Father to care for us.  He wanted us to understand that God’s love for us was not based on works or deeds or laws, but on love. He wanted us to understand that nothing could separate us from that love other than ourselves.

The message from Christ was a message of love, faith, hope, and dependance on our Father in Heaven to provide for us.  His words of wisdom and guidance were directly from our Heavenly Father to His children.  God did not want us caught in the back and forth of wrong-doing and sacrifice. He came as Christ to share that truth and the genuine way back Him.  Christ demonstrated our Heavenly Father’s love and forgiveness through parables and miracles. The miracles He displayed validated His divine power and confirmed that He was not a regular human.

For these truths and acts, Christ was killed in a horrendous way – he was crucified.  He had done nothing wrong. He committed no crime, but died a criminal’s death. Then 3 days later, he was alive again and talking to His followers – the ultimate show of His divine power (again, proving WHO He was).

The key to understanding the importance of Christ’s actions is understanding that Christ knew all of this would happen before it happened.  After all, He was God and God knew the outcome of His actions. He knew his messages of love and truth would make him hated.  He knew that he would lose His human life if He came to share the truth.  He knew he would die a horrendous death.

He loved us so much, He chose a human path that would end in the pain and suffering of a crucifixion – because He loved us so much

Why is Jesus Christ the ONLY Way to our Heavenly  Father (Yahweh)?

You must believe in our Heavenly Father to have a relationship with Him.

You must believe that He loves you.  YOU as you are today, from the tip of each hair strand down to the tip of your toenails. There is nothing you can do to deserve His love – it is always there as a resource for you.

You must believe that God loves you so much, that He was and is willing to give His life for you.  Your relationship with Him rests on your belief that Yahweh loves you.

You must believe that Christ was and is the manifestation of our Heavenly Father. His purpose was to show us who Our Heavenly Father is, what He wants from us, and how to live a life that pleases Him.

You must believe that Christ was crucified because of those truths.

You must believe He resurrected on the third day because He was and is God.

You MUST believe He loved YOU that much!!!

If you believe and accept that God – through Christ – gave His life for you, then you won’t hide from God.  You will share your deepest and darkest secrets with Him.  You will open your heart and life to Him. You will share your deepest sorrows and greatest joys with Him.  You won’t be afraid to show Him your anger or disappointment.  You will talk to Him and consider Him your father.  You won’t worry about tomorrow regardless of what is happening in the world. You will understand that through His love, you have His power as well. You can achieve anything that He has planned for you.

Jesus Christ IS the ONLY Way to Heavenly Father (Yahweh)!

In order to have a true relationship with God, you must believe and accept the gift of Christ.  Without that acceptance, you will never truly get to our Heavenly Father. This distance from our Heavenly Father is the goal of our spiritual enemy.

Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me”. He is the only way.
