In this crazy world of go, go, go, busy, busy, busy, we often forget the small details of life,
- Pick up eggs on the way home
- Mail that envelope
- Say Happy Birthday to sister in law
- Make an appointment at the dentist
- Lock the door
- Turn off the coffee machine
You name it, we can forget it. Even with the best intentions, our humaness causes us to forget little details in our everyday lives. Its so easy to believe that our God – Yahweh – has that same human frailty. As a matter of fact, we will go as far as to apply our limits to Yahweh. We assume that His great area of responsibility – the universe and beyond – affords him zero opportunity to care about YOU, or YOUR needs, or YOUR sorrow, or YOUR pain. WE believe that because we tire, worry, anger, or just forget, that surely our God must behave in the same way. Just as we get overloaded and can do no more, surely He must say “I don’t have time to worry about YOU, there are more important things”.
But listen to His Whisper …
‘Have you never heard? Have you never understood? [I AM] the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. [I] never grow weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of my understanding. ‘ Isaiah 40:28
Yahweh truly knows who you are, what you need, what you can handle, and what keeps you awake at night. We can not use our barometer, or measure, of humanly earthy abilities to measure Yahweh or his understanding of the smallest details in our lives. Just because our mother, sister, uncle, or neighbor does not care about a small detail in our lives, does not mean that our God does not care about that detail.
If everyone in the world forgets your birthday, God knows exactly the year, week, day, hour, second, and millisecond you took your first breath – so celebrate your birthday with Him.
‘You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. ‘
Psalms 139:13-17
If no one else understands your need for rest, God provided the Sabbath to refresh and center you.
‘“You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord ’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live. ‘Leviticus 23:3
If no one else supports your dreams and desires, Yahweh provides for His children and ensures their safety.
‘He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them. ‘ Psalms 145:19
If God cares for the smallest details for His smallest creations, will He not care the same for you?
‘Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.’ Matthew 6:26,28-33

Our prayer for you: Heavenly Father, please reveal Your divine love to the reader of this Whisper. Please show them, in your divine way, that You care for them. Reveal your knowledge of the smallest details in their lives as they go about each day. Show them that their faith in You does not go unnoticed nor are they forgotten. Show them that you are the ultimate power behind their lives. Thank you for your love and your grace. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
