YOU were created for relationship.

As humans, we view relationships as our ability to relate to other human beings. For some, the absence of other human relationships leaves a void for us. For others, they may stay surrounded by people, but still feel alone. For others, they may surround themselves with other things – pets, possessions, technology, profession, etc. and still feel alone.

Loneliness has the potential of destroying much of the good in us – it can make us fearful, bitter, self destructive, insecure, and lead to bad decisions about relationships. This is because our primary focus is on human relationships, and we measure ourselves first by how well we relate to and with other people. However, our primary relationship is not human.

Yahweh’s thoughts and ways are so far above our own. Our concept of relationship is skewed by human desire and human definitions. What Yahweh seeks from us is so much deeper and complex. He created us, so – of course – He understands the desire for the physical presence and companionship that we seek. However, the primary relationship must be established and healthy first, else none of the other relationships will work.

Take a car for instance, the complex inner workings that ensure the vehicle is operating smoothly can range from the most basic to most extreme. However, the relationship between the engine and the power source is the relationship that gives meaning to ALL the other relationships of moving parts, technology, and extras. Of the battery and engine are separated, you have nothing but a very large hunk of “stuff”. You are not going anywhere. Regardless of how much money spent on that car, it’s worthless. Regardless of the many options or accessories, the car does not fulfill its main purpose for you – to get from point A to point B.

An amazing and awesome Creator created you. He created you to commune first with Him a relationship between the Creator and the created.

God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him,

Seeking out our relationship with Him first is key to making all other relationships work – because we were created for THAT relationship. The irony is that, as humans, we consistently “seek” a “mega event” or “happening”, when in truth….

He is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.

Our Creator is interwoven into the very fabric of our beings. He is NEVER far away, and we are NEVER alone.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Psalms 145:18 NIV

A sincere heart can ALLWAYS find Him. Always.
